Here are a few pictures of the rails I just installed on my 218 dlv. They were fabricated by Martin Marine. Bow and stern rails were designed to mount short of the four inside steps and deck footpads allowing for easy in/out at all four corners. Stern rails don't rap around rear for better access to swim platform. So far, I'm very happy with them. Excellent service and turnaround time from Martin Marine design. I highly recommend them.

Looks great! I just bought the side rails from him. I wanted it to hang fenders and to put some clamp on rod holders.

Those rails look great. I have the factory rails on my skiff. I wish I had those side rails. The factory rails are much lower. It looks like you also have the backrest for the back deck. That looks good too. How do you like it?

The backrest is nice. The adults that have sat there seem to like it. It's a little high for the kids. I should probably add the seat cushion.

like your rig. Did you get the back rest at MM? Did you install yourself? If so how hard was it to install. Getting ready to order a 218 and want the back rest as I am getting the stern cushions.

Yes, I bought the backrest from MM and installed it myself. It is very easy to install. I used a 2" hole saw which turned out to be just a bit small for the rod holders that MM ships with the backrest. I used a file to enlarge the holes to get the right fit. A 2 1/8" hole saw might be better but I'd check with Raymond at MM and see what he recommends. Good Luck!
