I hear caloosa is a good brand of cast net. Is that the type of net you mean?

I will second the calusa net, they are great, light and very good to cast.

I went to their websight.I might have to put one of my $100 bills in the pot to get one of those.*kickrock*

Calusa is my net of choice. I am throwing a 14 tournament net by Calusa. Special ordered. They have a great web site to teach people to throw really large nets.

I agree with you broke. The one thing I know for sure about them is that I can't afford one.;D
Seems like they have a lesser brand named cracker that is a more moderate amount.
"Both nets weigh the same, lie as flat and throw as easy. Under normal usage, the Calusa should last longer and stay softer longer than the Cracker. If you're the type of person to whom quality is paramount, and cost is secondary, then the Calusa is the net for you. If quality is important, but budget is equally important, then the Cracker is right for you.
Either way, you're getting a net that throws easier, lies flatter and sinks faster than the competition. When you want to get bait, and you need every throw to count, you can't go wrong with a net from the Calusa Trading Company!" Borrowed from: http://www.calusa.com/thedifference.cfm

I have personally thrown the Calusa Cracker, yeah it might not be $250 bucks, but this thing is a dream. Easy to throw, very well built, the mesh is nice, the knots are good and catcing shrimp for over a year with it without a tear, i have picedk up some oysters...maybe im just lucky. A buddy of mine made fun of me for spending a good bit on it....then he threw it. It doesnt tangle, i showed my gal to throw it the same way the calusa video shows and in 2 minutes shes catching shrimp. The cracker is still pricey but nice and i feel well worth it. :)
