I logged in and the first post I read was to the "lurkers", so I was shamed into registering, lol.... Actually, I read a few other posts after the "lurkers" post, and it seems to be a pretty friendly (fun) place, as well as another source of information about CS's.....so I joined up.
A little about me:
I live in Panama City, FL and own a 24 DLX with a John-zuki DF 140. I mostly use the boat for fishing, but have been known to pull a tube and do some cruising and beaching as well. With the purchase of this larger boat, I've started moving out of the bays and venturing off shore a bit, and have been bitten by the offshore bug.....have been catching red snapper, grouper, amberjack, king mackeral, dolphin and cobia so far this season. I couldn't handle the constant rocking of my old v-hull boat while fishing offshore, but I have yet to get that "queezy" feeling on my CS......in short I LOVE MY Carolina Skiff!
I'm looking forward to learning and sharing information about our Skiffs.....

Welcome Chumhead,
You really can't beat the stability of the CS. Dolloar for Dollar there the best boat out there in my opinion.
Plenty of room and with 26" gunnels very safe and unsinkable too !!!
Glad you decided to sign up with us, as we are a new site progressing nicely.
Make yourself at home, and Enjoy the ride here !!!

Ahoy all you skiff owners. My name is Maineskiff out of Portland Maine. I have a 2004 17 DLX with a Honda 50. Love my boat. It's great for what I do, fish for stripers and blues in Casco Bay.
I'm also a member of Carolina Skiff Owners web site. Figured the more info the better and more fun also.
Looking forward to it! Day off Monday and we'll be off chasing Stripers aroud the bay.

Glad you decided to join up with us here. There are MANY sites on the web , but not many bulletin boards for the skiff.
Alot of guys here bounce back & forth between this board and the MSN board. Both have Great members & Great info on the skiff.
We are new to the World Wide Web, but we are growing FAST !!!
Glad you found us and please enjoy the site & help us spread the word of CSO.......

Thanks for the friendly welcome!
I love my CS, and wouldn't trade it for anything else (unless I could sell it, buy another CS and put $$$ in my pocket, lol).
