A guy down at the yacth club got into the Stripers hot and heavy yesterday. His biggest was 42 Lbs. there were 3 guys on board and they limited out in no time.

They were just north of brigantine off the south end of LBI. Giant schools of bunker and the big guys underneath.

They casted out a snagging treble and just let the fish sink and bang, hooked up.

Of course with such a "sure thing" I made my way up there this morning. Let me be the first to tell ya, there's no such thing as a "sure thing" ;D

Spent 2 hours cruising the ocean and never saw bait. One little blip on the sonar was about it.

Came in and got some shorty flonder........ now it's time for work.

did manage to hit my 20 hr service beep and flashing light. Great, now it's gonna cost me more money .. ;D

At the end of the day it was time on the water :) As my Pa and Uncle i grew up fishing with would say when we left, "We're going fishing....we will at least have a good boat ride" every ride was a good boat ride with them :)

I have a great snagging rig for that kind of fishing. I've gottem more with chunks behind the school of bunker than with livies.

I'll be down tomorrow with the boy to fill my flow troll with killies. Might take a little ride. Fishing Sunday early am.

Hey the bunker put up a pretty nice fight when you snag them. Harry thats up in my neck of the woods I have been reading the reports and wishing I was down there. Graduation partys are killing me for this weekend. I hope they are around next weekend I would like a shot at them. They are right out front LEI I can get there in 20min from my dock.

From all the way in the back of Lakes bay (my slip) it took about 45 minutes to get there. there are a few no wake spots along the way also.
