Spent the last two days working on raising the dock where I keep my boat. Should be real nice when we get this phase of the dock done.

Had a wicked thunder storm yesterday afternoon at around 3pm, we were about to call it a day anyhow. Work called 7 times and 7 times I said no thank you.
I pulled the boat at 6 am so it didn't get covered in saw dust, I was the first one there and worked until 3pm and the rain came. Took the wife out for dinner and started again this morning at 7am. We were short on our lumber and work called again at 10. Since it was a double time day, the boat was home, and it was low tide I went in to work.

Working 4-12 this week Wed - Sun & it's an early tide ... *thumbsup*

Lumber for the dock should be in tomorrow so me and the brother-in-law are heading out around 7am to fish.
It was a perfect morning and the gnats were TERRIBLE at the dock, Usually that means no wind, good drift = fish
Calling for 5-10 out of the NW and high tide is around 7:30. No excuse tomorrow boys. If I don't come home with my first keeper tomorrow, Check the dock sale cause the boat will be listed..... ;D

Good luck Harry. I'm sure you'll land a keeper. Make sure to take a few sandwiches. They usually hit about the time you try to grab a bite to eat.;D

OK,
Who wants to buy a 238 DLV ???

Weather man was 50-50 on predicting the weather. It did lay down in the afternoon, that part he got right. But it blew about 20 knots all morning ....

By the time the wind laid down it was low tide and a TON of eel grass ...

About 10 short flounder = no keepers

Seeing how I'm not getting any usage out of mine either maybe we could start a Carolina Skiff museum. You in? I can make the popcorn. ;D

OK,
Boat not for sale anymore..... *018*

FINALLY had a break from the North winds. Had a slight 3-4 knot SW wind & found fish on the first drift. Not real hot, so I knew a place that would be perfect for this breeze and the out going tide.

Ran there and set up, 2 keepers in first drift. 1 was 23" and weighed in at 4.1 Lbs.

Wound up taking real short drifts of 80 -150 yards in 6-7 ft of water and killed every time. I had a pole in each hand and she had one and one in the holder. More than once we had fish on all 4 poles and it was kayos *thumbsup*
Thank goodness it was Tuesday , or it would have been a parking lot. Their were 2 other boat there and 3 more moved in. these fish were in this short area and these guys sooned realized this watching us and moved right in.

The wife took the day off since she had a Dr appointment at noon. Unfortunately we couldn't stay .........

We left them snapping and wound up with 3 keepers , and MANY right at 17.5"
As we were coming back the winds shifted and about an hour later it was blowing 20 knots.

Since I'm working 4-12 starting tomorrow I had planned on hitting it again, but their calling for thunder storms and wind,
Oh well at least I got my MOJO back if at least for one day .... ;D
