Bought an '04 17 DLX with 50 hp 4 stroke yamaha last week. Very pleased so far.
Some changes/additions I am looking to do to the boat:
1. VHF radio (on outer banks of NC, Kill devil hills to hatteras)
2. Flip/flop cooler seat (previous owner was a fly fisherman and put on a polling platform and removed the cooler seat)
3. Bimini top (I'm done being burnt)
4. Radio/CD player
5. Swim platform
Love the gas mileage with the 50 hp. Not skiing so don't need any more.
Looking forward to asking for advise soon.
NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

Another case where less is more - especially at today's gas prices. I love the economy of a 25 on my J16 and could probably circumnavigate the globe without refueling.

Good to see a few Hokie's out there. I grew up in Roanoke and went to Radford so needless to say you are a Hokie if you are a sports fan in that area. *Woot*
Welcome aboard...
You were clearly smarter than us Hokies. We had to drive to Radford for the girls!!!

I'll post some pics soon.
Wife and I Class of '87 VT, son a senior in VTCC, daughter rising sophmore at Radford.
Watch those Radford jokes! (Although I made a couple of trips there myself, back in the day.....oops.)
I see some Hobe sound and Ft Pierce Florida folks out there, I spent some time in Fla, brother used to live in pt st. lucie, now in Jensen Beach. Great area, unreal growth the last decade.

I was going to make some Radford jokes but now that I know your daughter is there, it just wouldn't be funny. The girls were a deciding factor in my choice of schools (explains the grades), the ratio was 7 to 1 at the time that I went. *Woot*
Jensen is in the same county as me. Hobe is probably the last "small town" left in south florida. I love it here.

How did a Hokie end up in Rocky Mount? I'm from Bunn,NC (a Wolfpacker, please no jokes) and I spend a lot of time in the Pamlico behind Avon. Welcome
