Had to get the jumper cables out for this bad boy. He had swallowed two baits at once. Apparently I caught the snapper and then he caught the snapper. Had a heck of a time getting the hook out...

I wouldn't mind having a CSO hat, but they probably won't fit me. I have a 7 3/4 hat size and not many ball caps fit to my satisfaction.

The jumps got sat on the bow when I was digging arround trying to find some forceps to use to dislodge the hook from these two fish.

man that's one cool lookin redfish! i've caught one before that i swear must have been confused at birth, b/c it looked like a spotted sea trout with all the spots! he was a rat red, so we had to let it go, i wish i would have gotten a pic beforehand though!

Yeah that was a cool red. I'd like to get out and get a few more this weekend, but I'm afraid of the tumult that is bound to be ensuing on the river due to the holiday weekend. Bet all ramps will be full by day break...

Oh well I got a honey do list a mile long including fixing a dripping faucet in the kitchen.

will- the river was kinda crazy today! i only have to deal with it from where the Indian River meets Crystal river to Twin Rivers. We fish out Salt River to the south, so there wasn't too many boats down that way. we did pretty good on trout (see my new post) today.

We went to see Dr. Jones at 9:30 this morning. It was suprisingly good. My boy is 8 and he thinks Indy is the coolest thing ever.

I'd like to go tomorrow, but I'd have to beg off of a few obligations ( Its part of the marital thing - I declare if it wasn't for women we'd all live in shacks and go fishing everyday.)

Theres a state sponsored red tourny up here every fall and the winner is the fish with the most spots. I think its called the redfish rally, a yr or 2 ago the winning fish had 121 spots....go figure.....lol

will- the wind was blowin good early in the morning then slacked off around the tide change. stayed slack for about an hour then picked back up when the tide started running back in. tomorrow is supposed to be light wind in the morning then pick up later in the day.
