I thought sure I posted here yesterday but don't see it so here it goes again. Don't have a skiff yet but planning on a 1965 with a used 90 hp 2 stroke Yahama to keep the weight and cost down. I like to fish all around the country so like to keep in mind the towing weight. I pull with a Toyota van which does a great job. My fishing interest are Hybrid Stripers-Stripers-Freshwater Drum and Catfish in that order. I've gotten to where I don't keep fish which really makes things simpler, easier and overall more fun. No more cleaning a bunch of fish at 10 or 11 at night, no more big cooler in the boat, I think it is great.

Well it says you have 8 posts there under your name. Maybe you posted in different sections.
I have a 97 S-10 Blazer and just towed my new 198 DLV from Va, back home to NJ. They had a lot of weight on the tounge and It threw that little SUV all over the place. When I got home I slid the axle forward about 8" and now I can at least pick up the tounge, Plus it tows MUCH better.

I like to have the boat loaded the way it is going to be towed then keep adjusting til I can give the steering wheel a little jerk and the trailer will only sway once or twice then settle right down solid. I also tend to keep my tongue weight as light as I can get by with.
