Well the second outing did not turn out as well. Did get 3 short flukes, 0 keepers, repeat of last years season so far. But the problem came when the moter started sputtering and not wanting to push any rpms.
got her on the trailer and dropped her of at Steves for some fixin. She idled smoothly but decided she didn't want to be pushed. Also getting a service. Anyway its back to PA today for a week. Be back next friday.
Hopefully the boat will be ready for some serious flukin. Harry, Steve said eventually he will get time to check out your sight.

Willie,
It sounds like a filter problem to me... Is there crap in your tank? Do you have a water separating filter? If not I believe that there is a primary fuel filter on the motor itself.

either last year or the year before I had a problem with the filter screen in the tank itself, to the point were the fuel line bulb would collapse. When it happened I was in the GE Inlett and it was an outgoinig tide. BoatUS almost got a call from me for a tow, luckily I noticed the fuel bulb and was able to get some gas back into it and flowing. When I got the engine going I ran it fast as to get back into the bay and would get about a 100 yards and it would die again, pump it up ang get another 100 or so yards. once I was in the bay I decided to pump and run slowly. It took me almost 2 hours to get back to the marina up the Patcong Creek. This is devinetly not the same problem, but as you guys surmized I believe it will be a filter/water seperator problem. I wont be down for a week, and hopefully Steve will be able to get it done for me by Friday. Gotta get out and get some flukin in and more so some crabs for the Saturday nights dinner. My son and his girl are driving up from Baltimore and love to crab. Oh well, if no boat we will have to do it from the shore. Keep ya posted on what the actual problem is.

Definetly not a water problem, non in the seperator.......he did a service, changed plugs, filters, including h2o seperator filter, got it in the water on Monday for the first run and it idled beautifully, before I could get to give it some gas the temp light came on and started to beep at me. Made it back to the ramp and it is now back at Steve's. The water pump was working, he thinks it is the temp sensor. Will keep you guys posted. Hopefully have it back by Sat, when I get back down to the shore. >:(

yep was the temp semsor. It has run real nice the last 2 times out. Went to go out crabin this morning, had a couple of hours, but with the fog and the visibility so bad, decided not to go, at slow speed it takes a while to go from Kenedy park to the crabbin sight. Oh well, next time my feet get wet will be when I l;aunch the canoe up the delaware river with a few scouts and leaders............... :D
