I am not a big bimini fan but am looking for some type of top. Who uses a bimini and likes the one you have?

I have a Sunbrella top that I had installed on the boat by the dealer. I do like the top, gives plenty of shade. I had to move the top forward as it was in the way of my livewell and storage. Now it sits just on the edge of the rear deck and I am able to access all three of my hatches without a problem.

My top has the support poles. I would not have anything else. Stores away nicely. I also upgraded to the 8 foot verses the 6 foot for the shade. If you can spring for it, get the stainless. The non-stainless has the plastic fittings and they strip very easy. Not sure what brand I have, it's whatever chatlee installs.

Capts lane - The support poles let you leave it up when closed right?

Loki - Yours sits on the front edge of the rear deck?

I thought I saw (maybe on the MSN site)some type of top that attaches to the console only. No straps to the gunnels anywhere. I cant seem to find it again.

Hi Fillet1, yes mine stays up or you can lay it down, which is could during towing. If you like shade, get the big one. ;D

Mines a Sunbrella and cmae with my boat. I use the top quite often as I sunburn easily.

Yes, it sits just on the edge of the rear deck. It is now out of the way of everything and everybody.

No, but thats not bad. The one I was thinking of has an aluminum mount on the console that the whole thing folds up into when not in use. Thanks for the link.
