I think I was turning only 5300 loaded down last time out. I just want to make sure I'm propped right.

Went out last night. Loaded with the normal fishing gear, Myself and 2 11 year old boys. At WOT trimmed up, I was turning 5900-6000 RPM's.

I boat really likes about 4800-5000 PRM for a nice cruise.

I thought we had the same prop ?

I like to striper fish and I need to run about 2mph. I plan on getting a 1980 before too long, with a 90 S. 4 stroke, what is the minimum rphm's this motor will turn just in gear?
I currently have a alum. bass boat with a 60hp 4stroke Merc. Ive been trolling with it at 800 rpm's and catching fish. I should be trolling at about 2mph. but I dont have a gps. I will have one on the new boat. Anyways, just wonder what kind of range I should expect out of the new rig. Thanks for your time

WOT in the book is 5500 but the over rev light doesn't come on until you get past 6000.
