Willie,
Who is Baltimore?

Rich,
Where did you fish in the bluefish tournament? Were fishing the Ladies Bluefish tourny 6/16. I heard there getting the yellow eyed gators pretty good up at Barnaget Ridge. AC Ridge had nothing this week.

Yes I was ALL over, From Lakes bay (north) down to JFK park (south) and everywhere in between. LOTS of boats and wind the pick was scattered.

Yup the shoobie invasion surely has begun.

Quick boat ramp story speaking of shoobies.

I only live about 7-8 block from where I launch. When I get there The motors already up, plugs are in and I ride down with no rear straps to remove and just the winch and saftey chain on.
All I have to do when I get there is pull around, back down, get out unhook winch and chain and push her off.
So I pull down and there's a guy off to the side (PA Tags, sorry Willie ;D) either straping the boat down or removing the strap, not sure, don't care.
I pull around and back down the ramp, get out and start to push off the boat. The guy starts walking towards me yelling "hey buddy how about waiting your turn !!" I say "What the hell are you talking about, your off to the side fooling around and I'm ready to launch" (I start walking straight at him, I'm no giant but at 6'1" and 215 lbs I can handle myself and I'm in no mood for some shoobie's BS at the boat ramp) He turns and heads back to his boat and while doing so, is saying "We'll I was here first"
(The ramp is wide enough to have 3 vehicles side by side and you can all launch at once) I Say "you could get 3 trucks here at once, pull it down here and get going."

Anyway since he went the other way, I just launch, park, & get underway. As I'm going down the creek, I look back and he's STILL fiddle F'ing around up on high ground...... ::)

Don't get me wrong, I would never cut anyone off, but since he was off to the side and there was ton's of room I never thought twice about launching. Anyway I'm trying to get into the slip at the YCP and this will all be old news and WAY less headache.

Tell'em CSO says hi too..... BTW this was at the Linwood ramp (Seaview ave) Usually in the summer you have to battle the people crabbing on the dock and parking (without permits) in the turn around area to swing your truck and trailer around.

They have crab lines set out all along the dock and look annoyed when you launch your boat and tie it off on the dock so you can park your truck.

Harry

We started inside of and worked our way out to and beyond the AC Ridge. We didnt hit the dog or triple lumps and heard of nothing going on there. It was slow all over. One friend was at the northern portion of the ridge and had a steady pick, but they were all 7lb fish.

The guy I fished with is fishing the ladies tourny too. He is trying to drag me with him.

AAHHH! The crabbers and shoobies. When I arrive at that place, I tell the crabbers to move there traps off the floating dock, or lose them.
About 2 weeks ago a commercial crabber thought it would be ok to leave his boat tied overnight and all day on the floating dock. I just used his boat as my dock, then had the police come down and bent there ear over it.
It was still there when i came in, but it and his pots were gone the next day. He had green floats and they were all over, including the channel >:(

Goerge,
I was down there and saw that boat and a trailer STACKED with traps and not a truck or person in sight. I wondered what was up with that. I guess for a 15 dollar parking permit you can do what ever you want... ::)

Those green floats SUCK, you can barely see them in low light,Plus in the channel. It would be ashame if they got unhooked from the trap some how and floated off........ ;D
