Well, I dont have pics right now but I too stole lakebikers idea and added a couple.
For a backing to fill the void behind the box I bought a large 1/4 inch poly cutting board. I cut 2 pieces to size and glued them together with sealant. I was having a hard time finding st. steel piano hing so I bought industrial strength velcro. Ran it all the way around leaving a few gaps for ventilation and then ran very small screws at the ends of the velcro on both the box and lid. I have to use a screw driver to pry the lid open. It aint going anywhere.
Also did the bow rail mod. I found some 1" heavy duty table leg feet at Lowes that fit real tight on the bow rail. They were black ones. I will try to get model number or stock number for those that want it. Simple mod but so much more room since I can run my TM right next to the rail now.
I also used some more of that cutting board as a base for the TM mount. Bought a couple rubber stoppers for the from holes on the TM mount. Cut them to size and drilled a hole down the middle.
My personal idea was the small nylon cleats and cargo netting under the back deck. 2 to the deck just inside the lip of the deck so you dont kick or fall over. 2 to the back of the lip with a 1 x 2 on the front for support. Cargo net stretched between and presto. I also found some 4" high plastic storage boxes that fit snuggly under the flip/flop seat.
attached 2 more nylon cleats to the bolts coming through my center console from the forward seat cushion. Used st. steel 'S' hooks and ran cargo netting from those to the fasteners in the deck that the gas tank is strapped to. This is another area I can put stuff out of the way and it wont bounce around.
Gotta love Lowes. Everything was bought there. Nothing bought at a boat store. Kmart supplied the cutting board material. I will get pics and post tomorrow. At work now.
Hope to share more ideas in the future.
