Just bought a new 17' DLX with a 4 stroke Suzuki. Recently sold a 17' MAKO which was a great bay boat (I spend most of my time in the back bays of Atlantic city, NJ.). Looking forward to the skiff, and hope to find valuable information from all the existing owners. Thanks

Littlebay, Welcome aboard, I am down in Great Egg Harbor and that are most of the time. Always looking for new adventures and [places to fish. I do hit the Brigantine surf quite a bit looking for the striped bass, but the back waters, well never been there or behind AC. Do spend some time BS'ing at Riptides B&T when I get up that way. Ever been there? Anyway we all gotta get together sometime and have a skiff convention on the water. Oh were did you buy your skiff from, local? Have a good one. ;)

Little bay,
Welcome to the site . I Fish from AC to OC and all around the island.
Mostly behind Ventnor south to Longport and over to Somers Point.

Your right the 17 Mako is a SJ staple. What made you go with a CS ?

I had a 17 Aquasport and was thinking about going up to like a 21-23 cuddy. Sold the Aquasport, than changed my mind. The last two years I had to settle for a 16 Lowe jon boat w/ 25 Johnson tiller. Worst two seasons of my life. Not to mention I got wet & couldn't tow the kids with it either. The Lowe was a good boat, but going from a 17' CC to that blows... ;D

Anyway this March I jumped into a 198 DLV & LOVE it for the kind of fishing we do.Spent most of the spring tricking out the new boat and adding lots of stuff. If you have any questions fire away.

I work with a LOT of buddies that fish your area,Plus Absecon Inlet and Great Bay. I bet we know some of the same people. You slip your boat or trailer?

Thanks Again for signing up at CSO !!!
