I check in every day, I just don't have anything to add because I have pneumonia and haven't done any fishing in the last two weeks, actually haven't done anything at all except lay on the couch and catch up on some wide screen HD TV.

As much fun as that sounds, I'd rather be fishing, or even mowing the 1 1/2 acres of grass in my yard. My wife would like it even more, as well as finish painting the house.

:-[ Loki, take it easy man, fishing is the best way to start the comeback road to health, not mowing or paining.... beleive me think fishing.......... :D

Well, I just got out of the hospital yesterday. I at least had the foresight to take all my fishing mags. Today would have been a great day to take the boat offshore, 2' seas, 5kts wind out of the southeast.

I hope some of ya'll are out on the water and on the fish! Post pics of the fish!

Yeah I caught a couple flatties with my old man who was visiting from florida. I think its time to sneak out to the artificial reefs we have up here to load up with sea bass. Might try this weekend. Pneumonia sux!

I'm not suppossed to go back to work untill the 18th, that will be three long weeks. I hope to get the ok to at least go fishing this weekend. Wish me luck!

Seems a STATE Budget and Control Board 1999 KING CAB DODGE fullsize TRUCK ran a stop light and tried to take off the front of the GEO METRO stationwagon I was a passenger in on the 17th of LAST month, bruised whole inside of chest, tore right rotator cuff AND some tendon that goes on top of your sholder down the outside of your arm 70% thru. And in good ol' S.C. if you are a resident, you can't sue the state (without the states permission .....of course), Fella driving the truck was in a military uniform, I didn't know the state handed out BDU's (uniforms) AND a seargents rank to employees, must not have been on the "job" eh???????? Can't sue the state, can't sue the driver (in a state vehicle so he's "protected") can't sue the driver of the truck's personal insurance ( in a state vehicle so he's "protected") and the driver of the metro wasn't at fault, so his insurance won't cover me.
SO........ make a long story short, in S.C. you loose ALL your rights 2.5 seconds BEFORE the state vehicle hits YOU!!!!!!!!!! ( any of you folks from a "self insured" state???????? Ya'll MIGHT want to check where you live just to see, just in case.) Oh yea, 1 more thing , even though the driver of the truck was found (in the accident report) to "contribute to the accident" he wasn't issued a ticket, and the metro driver was found "NOT contributing to the accident".
AND....... since I am disabled prior to the wreck, the state says " there might have been an UNDERLYING PREVIOUS CONDITION so they may pay all, a %, or none of the medical bills, as they see fit"
that's where I've been and currently still am..............................sportskiff

Holy crap batman, that sucks. To be in an accident is bad enough, yours is a nightmere. Physically it seems like your coming along though. Good luck with the state and keep on getting better............ :)

Sorry sportskiff, forgot to pack the camera. You aren't missing much. We cought about 10 dolphin, 20 or so yellowtail, couple grouper, a nice mangrove snapper, 1 keeper sheepshead, and a bunch of reef sharks. I took my son and younger brother with me, spent alot of time undoing tangled lines and such. The 218DLV is a great boat, but still a little crowded with 4-5 people fishing off of it. specially bottom fishing with a 5-6kt current.

All in all I still had a great time and made great memories.
