One more T/M battery question

Sorry, this will be my last for the night. Since the new tunnel for the cables runs all the way to the front of the boat. How would the long cable run if I decided to put my 2 batterys for 24 volt, under my console, affect the battery life as far as the charge or power to my Trolling Motor. It would be about a 8 to 10 foot +/- run from console to under the front deck. Just wandering if any drawbacks. Other that having the batteries close to the gas tank. I'm putting my gas tank under the front console seat and could inclose it with plywood and glass like NEM is doing on his new boat to seperate the batterys from the tank. Again, just a thought......Darell

There should be no problem on the extended cable run as long as the wire is sized adequately for the load and any voltage drop due to the extended distance.

You can use this handy little calculater to determine voltage drop for a load over a specified distance.
