Got a free 1997 seachaser 186 w/ 75 Mercury 2 stroke. It has been sitting for a few years and I need to drain fuel. Any help would be appreciated.

Quick tip on syphoning if you don't have hose with a bulb but own and aircompressor or some other means of delivering pressurized air (a bycycle pump, for example). Put a length of hose in your tank, the other end lower than the tank. Hold your hand over the tank opening with the hose passing under your palm. Use the air compresor with a blow-gun type fixture or a bycycle pump to force air into the tank under your palm creating a slight pressure build up in the tank. This will force the gas up the hose, over the hump, and begin the syphoning process. Much safer than what I have seen people do: trying to suck the gas over the hump like sucking soda through a straw--very dangerous!

Wow, great idea! Wish my uncles had known it... suffered a few mouth fulls of gas as a kid. Maybe that's why I'm so goofy???

I have a couple of these. They work great. I keep one on the boat in case i or another boater screws up and needs a little more fuel to get to the dock. You can get them at Gander Mountain and Bass Pro.http://www.safetycentral.com/wopuseshsiho.html

That's a great idea. I hate the taste of gas - especially Exxon :P

I got one of those from Bass Pro, I think it was +/- $7. One of the best investments I've made in a long time.

For a little more money, but less time 12 volt fuel pump. You can get one from any parts store for about $30.00. Just add some wire with clips to battery. Just keep battery away from fumes.
