Hey Hey ! ! Way to go, STUD! thumbsup Congratulations! Took my son (2 1/2 yrs old) to boat show last w-end @ overtons where we bought a new tube to pull behind the boat. He is already talking about how happy a NEW boat would make him... 015 He & his older sister (4 yrs old) already love the water. Let me know if you need me to keep your boat running this summer... ;D 012

Congrats--My dad and I did a lot of stuff together, just never fishing. I have not done much fishing in my life. The reason I own a small boat and belong to this forum is because my oldest son (4yrs old) expressed an interest in fishing. I (like every other dad) am more than willing to take on any new hobby that yields more quality time spent with my boys. In the process, I have learned I really enjoy boating and fishing. You say this is your first--you are in for something you can never understand until you have kids of your own--and in my opinion, almost all of it is good. Slight downside--you will never have another slow paced minute in your entire life.
Again congrats, and savor every minute.

I owe my father what i am today and that includes fishing. He took me fishing for the first time when i was 3-4 years old and i'm hooked since. He gave me my own shotgun when i was 12, thank you for trasting me.God bless you dad.
This is what i keep saying to people and friends, take a kid fishing, will change his and your life for ever, it's not much for the sport, but the bond we will have, is priceless.
