http://www.capefearsportsmen.org/Events/FishFest2012Registration/tabid/719/Default.aspx
Cape Fear Christian Sportsman, A ministry of Christ Community Church, is hosting "Fish Fest '12." This school is open to anyone, and kids and wives are welcome. There is no cost, but a $30 donation is suggested. Come and learn everything you ever wanted to know about local fishing but were afraid to ask and be sure to bring a friend! The class will be from 8am-5pm February 18, 2012 at Scotts Hill Baptist Church (185 Scotts Hill Loop Road, Wilmington, NC 28411). A light breakfast and lunch catered by Middle of the Island will be provided. You can read more about FishFest ‘10 in the December 21, 2010 Star News Article, see what last year's attendees said about the event on FryingPanTower.com, and see pictures of the event at http://www.capefearsportsmen.org/PhotoGallery.aspx.

Thank you so much for the info; I used your downloads to register so I don't forget, I'm #20 to register. Last year was my first for the Fish Fest seminar and it was truly excellent plus I was able to see a number of CSO members. For the last 3 to 4 yrs, I've attended as many as 4 seminars during the winter months (hoping something will sink in or rub off). IMO, Fish Fest is outstanding. Superb local captains, great accommodations, appropriate agenda for our fishing area, great hosts, and the list could go on. Fish Fest is the only seminar I plan to attend this year.

Thanks again and hope to see a lot of other CSO members this year at Scott's Hill.

Not lately, I've been swamped at work. How's your fishing been? I went out a couple of weeks ago. I did ok on trout and could have cleaned-up on sea bass if they were open for the gettin'. *rod*

Was that Santa clause I saw leaving the Cape Fear Christian Sportsmen world headquarters? He was about Santa's size, but smelled faintly of pogy and gasoline. Whoever he was, he left a big pile of goodies on the floor. We've got a couple hundred of each, what should we do with these?
Come to the Fish Fest this Saturday at Scotts Hill Baptist Church (http://email.spencehackney.com/t/r/l/dlhdjhd/fjlyuullk/g/) to see what becomes of the pile of presents! Make sure you sign up at www.CapeFearSportsmen.org/FishFest to get your name on the list.

Ford versus Chevy. Yamaha versus Suzuki. Fly versus spinnining. Shimano versus Penn. Our fishing life is full of rivalry and healty competition. However it is time for the talk to end. It is time to "put up or shut up." It is time to decide who is on top, and as for me I hope it is some grinning 8-year-old holding a pinfish. Bring it!

Who was it that said "parting is such sweet sorrow?" Dante? Shakespeare? Midnight Wind? No idea, but it is true. You guys keep telling us that the 12 months between each Fish Fest are too long for your taste, well I think we might have a solution.
Come to the Fish Fest this Saturday at Scotts Hill Baptist Church (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Scotts+Hill+Baptist+Church&fb=1&gl=us&hq=Scotts+Hill+Baptist+Church&cid=8625535757478879212&ei=Q0S0Tp3XJJKSgQf727CPBA&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=map-marker-link&resnum=1&ved=0CC0QrwswAA) and see how this literary conundrum is handled! Top Secret Announcement #5
http://i1.cmail3.com/ei/r/85/E01/EDA/csimport/Dorcas-Pierson-Shane-in-johnboat-2.104701.jpg
It had been a long day on the water as I tied my jon boat to the cleat at the tranquil harbor. After a brisk walk I arrive at my destination, the Bald Head Island Country Club, with a cold beverage and a warm chair on my mind. However, to my chagrin the wannabe French guy at the door denies my entrance. Is it the cammo hat? The muddy boots? The New River Nets sweatshirt? The smell of bluefish? We'll never know, one thing I do know though is membership has its privileges.
Come to the Fish Fest this Saturday at Scotts Hill Baptist Church (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Scotts+Hill+Baptist+Church&fb=1&gl=us&hq=Scotts+Hill+Baptist+Church&cid=8625535757478879212&ei=Q0S0Tp3XJJKSgQf727CPBA&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=map-marker-link&resnum=1&ved=0CC0QrwswAA) to learn about the CFCS alternative! Make sure you sign up at www.CapeFearSportsmen.org/FishFest (http://www.capefearsportsmen.org/fishfest) to get your name on the list.
