Considering some new tires and shocks for my 2009 Ford Crew Cab 4x4. would like a shock that would help keep the truck level when towing my new 2011 21 ultra Elite.
Any ideas

A set of air shocks in the rear might do it, or air bags in the rear. I would try a load distribution hitch first. http://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distribution/Reese/RP66074.html
I have one of these on a 10K pound trailer behind a Tundra, without it the truck would ride way too low.

Our 2180 DLX with 90 hp single axle trailer sits level and tows easily with only the ball on our stock Chevy Astro and Trailblazer. I expect your rig is a bit heavier, but not enough to give that Ford an issue.
Before making any changes, I suggest weighing the trailer tongue weight to check that it doesn't exceed 10% of the total rig.
If so, you could move back the bow stop so the boat sits further back on the trailer or move up the axles Either or both will shift weight from the tongue to the wheels.
I suspect 10% of total weight will be within the truck's max tongue weight spec. After that, I'd see what your owner's manual sez.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I Use a 2001 E-150 Traveler=tow package for my 198 I think near 4000 pounds ..
It squats some but suits my needs using it on trips of less than 200 round trip..

You should not have any problems with that f150, like mentioned earlier weight your tongue. You dont need more than 200lbs of tongue weight IMO. I have a 198dlv and mine cant have more than about 60-70lbs because I can lift it with out too much effort. It can get a little bouncy over big bumps but If I move the winch up any more I will have to adjust the bunks and I dont know if I want to do that. I can stand on the swim platform and it doesn't lift the tongue so I just call it good enough for now.
