View Full Version : Step up/storage locker

Got the Idea from Lake biker and built over the weekend. Size 13 1/2" W x 9" H x 11 1/2" depth. Need to mount between hatches with a backing plate and shim under box. Thanks Lakebiker, we'll be able to get up down easier now.

Thats some purdy work and you're going to love it. A couple of pointers that you may not have noticed on mine. I put I think was a 1x1 strip at the top that butts to the deck in order for the lid to stay open better. Also on the bottom, I added that 2x4 in order to keep it pretty close to level and out of any water that may puddle up in the bow. You're for sure on the right track.

rolivare, looks good man.I hope you open up some drain holes, water will sip from the cover sides, should of been overlapping a little the box.

Roger that, the sides have a gap you can't see in the picture and it never rains when I'm on the boat, ya right.

Sorry, I can't make it this weekend, I already have 4 trips planned and don't know how the hell I'm gonna affored the fuel for them. Seems I read somewhere on here you were/are a "J" head from LeJeune, don't forget about Browns and Bear. I'm hearing from more than several, the inlets are full of drum RIGHT NOW. Take me some pics and report back on your step/box. LB
