Speaking of slamming poles, this guy reportetly set his GPS and autopilot for a marker then went below for a while. Looks like his electronics were right on...

so was he drunk . i have seen many of those at least it was not a corner pole with a double circut and 4 break offs 001

Everyone was gone when we got there. Just DOT was there with the road shut down.

Not to be a dork... but I nearly hit a marker like that one Saturday. A hog carcass was floating in the channel and caught my eye. I fixed my eyes on it to see what it was and when I looked up the markerr that was supposed to be on my Starboard side was about 3 feet of the Port side.

My heart was in my throat!

And, no I wasn't drinking. It was a near miss accident. WOT, not keeping my attention where it should have been, as well as my boats tendancy to slide in the corners.

I give thanks to God for not killing me that day.
