So Dad calls, says "hey would you like to join us in Nags Head for a week in May?"
This is obviously a loaded questions as OF COURSE my wife and I would like to join them....DUH. The rental house is on the Bay side, and again this would be in May.
So, I'll also obviously be dragging my 1965 DLX there. Is this considered the OBX area...good fishing to look forward to? The place is JUST south of Jockeys Ridge State Part. I'm already frothing at the mouth for this...
Stories, suggestions? I want to do a lot of fishing with my Dad and make it a great time for him.

Good area of the OBX !
It's shallow their , on the southern end of Jockey Ridge their is A Sound side beach were you can walk 100 / 200 yard's out waist high !
May fishing is usually mixed with water temp being the factor .
The OBX will just be gearing up for Season .....

Hopefully I will have some fishing reports by then. :) May is generally a good time for trout assuming the season is open. Great fishing, but exploring the obx is just as fun. A CS is perfect for the pamlico sound. Be prepared for your skeg to get cleaned!
Post again closer to that time and hopefully we can have some tips. In the meantime, explore cfishins links. fishingsmilie*
