After I retuned to the boat ramp I sprayed the bunks down with the silicone spray. After backing down the ramp and pulling the boat up on it. I shut it down & raised the motor. I get almost to the bow and she started

SLIDING BACK OFF THE TRAILER

No biggie. I just lowered the motor started it back up and tried it again. This time I had to leave it in gear at idle while hooking the winch strap, then back to the helm to shut her down again.

Guees I have to watch next time I launch her..... ;D

Still trying to work out the kinks.

68 is the entertainment channel ;D

Harry how steep is the ramp? I can usually walk my boat right up to the winch post. On longer shallow ramps I have to pull it up.

Are you talking the ramp in Lynwood?

The ramp I put in at (Linwood) is a clam shell ramp. It's long and shallow. The back tires of my truck are almost touching the water. At low tide it drops off near the channel a little faster, but than again, I don't usually put in at low tide.

Once everything gets settled at the Yacht club (as far as the dock rebuilding goes) I may keep it in a slip there. It's only $10 a foot to keep it there.
And Rich, we were REALLY close to it when I met you in Lakes bay yesterday.

Are there slips available at the Yacht Club. Do you have to be a P'ville resident?
Can you get in and out of there at all tides, or just half up?

Yes you have to be a member at the YCP (Yacht Club of Pleasantville)to get a slip.

And also there is a waiting list for slips even for members.
Some guys have slips, and have gotten rid of there boats , but keep paying for the slip in hope of getting another someday. In the mean time some of the slips just sit empty, but paid for. ::)

I would imagine if a member wanted a slip they could work out a deal with the guy who doesn't have a boat, but has a slip.

In a skiff you can get in or out at any tide IF you follow the channel markers, which is about 80 yards from our dock. From the channel to the dock it gets REAL skinny at dead low tide, But I'm Sure a skiff could make it.
