Barnegat Light NJ Report

Headed out in the early am (10 am to the wife that's early *kickrock*)
Out front very large dog fish and sea robbins...radio was quite except a few guys way north or a couple miles out, so we headed to the backside for some flatties..

Picked up 2-3 each drift all shorts 15-17" kept one nice 20".

Try it again tomorrow. LOVE GULP!

FYI.. Flatties were spiting up grass shrimp on the deck

Tide: coming in

15 flat fish 12-18" one keeper

After many drifts through various channels with 0 fish, even where I killed them 24 hrs ago, we moved to the sandy flat shoals.

Set the drift at the backside of the north jetty and drifted SW across the sandy shoals where water was at times 1-2'. We were one of the few in the skinny water and catching fish. 4" white gulps were the bait of choice. 2 to 3 fish per drift. Good luck and happy fathers day...
