I installed my VHF and found the spot for my JBL Radio. The dark thing in the picture is a weather cover for it. I would like it under the VHF, but it says do not mount it more than 20 dergees from horizontal, and under the VHF the thick plywood stops in the middle of where the JBL would mount. Don't think it would hold right. Gonna put it to the left of the VHF mic and raised from the temporary spot in the second picture.

Here's where the JBL radio will go tomorrow just a little higher.

I was going to mount it on the side of the console, but the fishing rods might be in the way, plus I thought it would take more water spray on the side .. 006

Proably, but like I said the 3/4" plywood stops about where the igintion key is, in the middle of the open area under the VHF. In my opinion it could make mounting tough and not worth the risk of cutting into.

Besides, I don't think you can Flush mount the Garmin 540s. ???
I haven't read the instructions on it yet, but that would be too cool for school !!!

Whatever you do, don't mount it to the grab rail - it would be a shame to lose it if the rail blows off ;D

great job! looks awesome! now all you need to do is add a 12" subwoofer facing down, so the fish can enjoy the nice mellow low notes and jump right in the boat! 014 011 012

Whatchu laughin' at NEM, I was thinking about getting a recording of my buddy's twin cummins on his 36 hatteras. :secret: The plan was to then mount some waterproof speakers into some weighted styrofoam cones so they'd run about 3 foot under the surface and send one over each corner of the stern and let 'em purr while I'm trollin up the biguns. thumbsup
