My J16 sold today. New owners picked her up before lunch and are incredibly excited about having her. I'm incredibly sad though. She was my first boat I bought on my own. I keep thinking of all the fish I caught on her. Biggest was a 70lbs Black Drum that stretched on one side of the front deck past the other side and into the water. Man I'm going to miss that boat! I probably caught more fish out of that J16 than any other boat we've (my parents and I) ever had. Well this now means my new Sea Ark will most likely be getting that Power Pole I've had my eye on! 017

thank you shakes! yeah it is kinda cool to see the history of all the sales this board as been a part of. i had 2 calls from people who found it here, but the guy that bought it found it on a local classified website. i told him about CSO and what a great group of people there are here!

i have already kinda replaced the skiff, a good friend had an 18' aluminum Sea Ark side console with a 50hp Mercury, that he sold me for his loan payoff value. so i kinda stole the boat. it was too good of a deal to pass up. as much as i love how quiet a fiberglass boat is with hull slap from waves, having the piece of mind with aluminum when it comes to beaching it on shell bars is worth the little extra noise. i figure i'll run this boat for awhile inshore and when i'm ready for something new and bigger i'm going to get a 238 DLV or the 248 DLX. this is the first time since 2003 that i've been skiffless.

shakes- dont worry i'm not going anywhere. this site is way too cool to leave now. besides my Sea Ark is kinda shaped like a skiff, even though it is aluminum!
