Hey guys, I have had my CS for over a year now and I'm almost done with extras now. I dont see many Sea chaser pics on here so I added a few in my album. I have added a LOT of leds including some on the bow for nav lights, I kept having issues with corrosion on my stock light and these look cool and have worked well for me even when I beat the crap out of the boat offshore. The lights were not all easy to install but def worth the work. They have helped a bunch just loading/unloading after dark and fishing at night. I found it hard to board the boat so I added a ladder off the deck of a fourwinns runabout that works well and is out of the way for fishing. After research in the forums I added lenco electric tabs that work great for leveling out the boat and letting me pop up in shallow water. Sorry about the pics, some of them were taken at night while it was raining.

If you get a chance, show us some daylight photos of how the lights are mounted.
Thanks

Will do. The inside lights were pretty easy, just zip ties with holes and stainless screws. I used some 5200 for the ones on the console sides also. The lamps in the front used double sided tape and then 5200 to seal them to the bow. I wasn't sure how they would hold up but they have been on there for quite a while and work well. I drilled small holes in each side of the bow for the wires, they were very small gauge wires so it didn't need much of a hole. Dont know if they are set at the correct angles to be coast guard approved but you can see them from a loooong way off at night, the acutally light up the water like docking lamps when it's really dark!

Please give some details, it would be nice to have a foot or so on each side of the DLX. Can they be adjusted to any length?

That is sweet. Please post up some info on the led and where you got them. I really like the nav lights.

They are flexible waterproof led strips, I found them on ebay and you can purchase them in several different lengths and colors. They would look good on your boat if you could figure out a way to mount them. I used some 3m adhesion prep on the flat edge of the light strip and on the boat where I mounted them, then put them on with some 3m double side tape. they were pretty tight, but I know what water will do to them so I used some white 5200 on the underside to seal them to the hull and then some clear silicon across the top and they are holding on good so far. I thought one had went out after about 4 months but this winter when I checked it out I found that the wire on the port side led had broken at the connector up in the bow where I hooked them up to the cs factory nav wires. I will get some daytime pics added when I get a chance, I'm working all the time right now (not complaining about that!)...........Lee

I found the ebay seller I got mine from, it's user name formula-j87. There out of Cal and I have purchased a bunch from him and installed them on other peoples boats and cars. A couple of times I got bad ones, I contacted him and he quickly sent out replacements with free shipping so I recommend him. I think they were 8$ with free shipping per 48cm strip. I will try and post more pics after work this eve so you can see what they look like a little better, they actually are clear when turned off so they are not noticable in the daytime. The lights I have from him seem better, I first found them at harbor freight but they cost more, were shorter, dimmer, and did not last very long.

Thanks for all the complements on the lights! I added some better pics that show how I installed them a little better in my album. The boat is pretty dirty, got back from Atlantic beach on sunday late and have not cleaned it up good yet, been workin every day since. The guy at anchorage marina where I kept the boat was asking me about the lights, he said he saw me coming from waaay down the waterway when I came in one night from fishing looking like a red ufo:cool:
