I'm not sure, haven't changed out my filter yet. ;D
But as you can see, I'm due for my 20 service, which is why I researched the different filters and part numbers.

I added K&N and Amsoil to the filter list. As with everything else, do not take any of this as the GOSPEL.

This list should only be used as a starting point to make up your own mind. Make sure the part you buy really does meet your particular needs.

Fish on!

Changed my oil today and went with the K&N filter and Mobile1 10-40. Pretty much went without a hitch.

Hey I got some K&N filters for my yamaha 115....what I realy like about them is they are well made and have a nut welded to the bottom of the filter...First one (a yamaha filter) I took off ended up punching a screw driver threw it...what a mess....With the K&N's just use a socket or box wrench....works like a charm...about the same price with free shipping....BoogieBlues

Just a word of advice from my own personal experience....a Fram 6607 looks like and according to some sites goes on a DF140....it does not!!! Trust me, I had an oil slick today when the filer blew off in the middle of the lake....the 4967 is the correct one, but I still still going with the Mallory marine filter if I can find one local, if not I'll try the 4967 but after today I'm almost scared to buy another Fram...but another site said the 6607 was the right one, do not listen to those idiots....
