Installed a few things on my J16 this past weekend, convertible jackplate from Bob's Machine, water pressure gauge, and a casting platform from Birdsall Marine. Wasn't able to run her this weekend since I needed to let the sealant dry, but I'll take her out next weekend to mess around with the jackplate.

How do you get the nuts on the bolts way up in the bow for the trolling motor? My arms are not long enough to reach that far.

I bolted my mounting plate on before I installed the deck.

I used Motorguide rubber mounting isolators, which expand inside the hole. I used longer bolts than what came with the isolators and used toggle bolt anchors for added safety and to make things easier if I ever need to remove the mount.

flatoutsa, the gauge was $37. The hose for the gauge connects to the "pee" hose on the motor. I ordered the Suzuki install kit, $15 and it wasn't worth the money, I could have gotten the pieces at an auto parts store. It came with two lengths of hose, a t-fitting and clamps. Replaced the original hose with the supplied parts, one end of the fitting went to the engine, another to the pee outlet and another to the gauge.

It was pretty simple, hardest part was getting the side cover off.
