If it ever comes up that one of you guys needs something hauled from NC to FL, I can help. (or FL to NC) I have noticed periodically items (rear decks, livewells, etc...) offered for reasonable prices, and the distance from buyer to seller is the factor negating the sale. Who can afford to drive 800 miles to save a few bucks on something? This probably applies mainly to the kit boat guys, but anything that is not really big I can do. I have a few tractor trailers that run the Florida-North Carolina lane twice a week. I am a vegetable farmer in Immokalee, FL (southwest), and haul out of here almost exclusively to a small town called Oxford, NC, which is about 25 miles north of Raleigh. I can't haul boats, but I can always leave a pallet or two off to fit your stuff on. I'm not looking for any money, just looking to return a favor or two to a member of a forum that has supplied me priceless, and might I add free, assistance in my particular boating project.
Thanks workinprogress, that is really great of you! It's people like you who make this a great place for our members.
Thanks again,

Workinprogress,
That's a fine and generous offer. It is maybe a suggestion for the rest of us. We could post a few days before a planned trip our itenarary and offer to transport for others if needed. If we're taking our boats, we are often towing with trucks and between the two usually have extra space.
Shakespeare, I don't know what a frosty is (I'm afraid to ask.), but if I ever do you a favor, no frostys please; just a thanks and a handshake will do.
Take care,
Aubrey (Shaggy)

For my friends that don't participate in the consumption of malt beverages... I have a nice A&W rootbeer waiting for ya'... in a frosty mug of course. ;)
