Is the 75# thrust range gonna have enough umph to pull my 2480 around in average conditions? Or do I need the third battery and the 101-105#'s? Any experiences? Thanks

I'd say you're getting on the lower end of what you need but I think you can get stronger than 75 and still be on two batteries. I'm running an 82# on a 1980, 24v and it's great. Might want to see how much more # you can get and still stay with two batteries. I've not looked in a while. 006
Oh, welcome aboard. ;D

Florida Marine, welcome from another floridian. I'm in spring hill, just south of you. I have the 2480 dlx also and since buying the boat this past November, been looking around at my options. I too want to stay with the 2 battery system and what I'v found has been 80 and 82 lb thrust with 60" shaft. Will decide when I'v saved enough money to purchase. I plan on getting a couple of Optima batteries for the install under the front deck. They can take the pounding unlike most other batteries. But again they cost more also. Bigger boat means bigger cost.....Darell Think about getting down to fort desoto for the CS get together in May. Should be fun
