Transom Saver?

Does anyone use one? I'm not concerned about the transom, but the stress on the hydraulic cylinder. I've seen that m-y wedge but that doesnt make any sense to me?

If by transom saver, you mean the bar type that goes from the trailer to the motor when its up, yes. I t just makes more sense to me that the pressure is on it and not the hydrolic cylynders. I actually made mine out of angle iron. Gonna have to replace it soon, rusting away on me.
