Thats a great area, picked up some nice weakies and blues in there last year. I am not familar with Smittys, where is it? Ive always used the park ramp, its a son of a gun at low tide though. >:(

Its the Clam Bar right between Dolphin Dock and Somers Point Marina. (Grady White Dealer) I heard that Kennedy was a pia at low tide. The ramp at smittys is 20 bucks. I can put in at dead blow out low without much trouble. There is a ramp in Linwood that I would like to try but you need a parking pass. Harry knows more about that one.

Willie that one puts you back in Patcong creek, Long run to get to the GE bay.
The other Linwood ramp (The one I use) is off shore Rd . Seaview Ave next to the Seaview ave lawn mower repair shop.

Thats for sure, I beleive it was about 9 miles for me when I was docked at Steves Marina to get out to the GE inlet. I never knew there was another ramp in Linwood, I'll check it out this weekend. That puts you into where then? Looks like Sod Thorofare. Gotta check this out for sure. Looks like a great weekend is in store. I am heading down in the morning. Harry, EElball, Fillet1...Come on down to WaWAs for a coffe around 6 sat morning. ON ME...... Just to say hello in person. Then I'm going to Longport to drown a clam or 2. See ya

If you leave Seaview ave dock and head to the right it takes you out to the First big bridge heading into Longport. (You'll be going over that bridge when you leave the WaWa to fishing in Longport)
If you head out to the left from the dock, it will put you in Sculls Bay. Go though Sculls and you'll wind up heading either towards the Margate toll road bridges or Longport depending on which way you turn once you cross Sculls bay.

Harry, I was just looking at the map of that area, intersting chanels back there. Skulls bay looks kinda shallow at low tide. Going to do some exploring this summer I think and expand my horizons. Thanks. Oh thats the wawas on old rt 9 across from the dairy queen. Coffee anyone. Bye :)

:( Well I was out both Sat and Sunday morning, Sat was at WaWas by 6, Got coffee and a snack, Fillet1, if you were there, sorry I missed you, didn't see anyone looking like they were looking for some one, or had a boat in tow. Next time, in about 2 or 3 weeks, we can try again. Didn't get anything from the surf but weed. Looked like stuff from the bay. Talked to some friends up in Brigantine and they were getting short stripers from the surf on clams today. Also checked out that ramp in Linwood and it looks really good. Where do I get that parking permit the signs are referring to and how much is it. Also p/u my Kenedy park season ramp pass for $30.00. Just gotta keep low tide in mind, a friend of mine got stuck there a week ago on the sand bar at the end of the dock. Well thats my weekend report, how did everyone else do? Keep in touch, by the board or by email. ;) Willie

Sorry I missed you Willie !!
I wanted to swing by Longport to see if I could find you, but my folks were up from SC & time was tight.
In fact it wasn't t'ill this afternoon that I was able to even get the boat out. We took a cruise up the Egg Harbor river and dropped a line but no takers.
The parking permits for the Linwood boat ramp are avaiable at Linwood City hall located on Rt 9(new road) and Popular ave. They were $15 until April 1st after that there $50. That let's you use both ramps, Seaview ave and Hamilton off Rt 9 behind the TV 40 news station (Patcong Creek)
So if you come down in 2-3 weeks be sure to let me know and maybe we can hook up then......
