Fished Sat

Fished Smith Mountain Lake in Virgina yesterday. Weather was nice. High in upper 50's. Wind didn't start blowing until late afternoon. Caught 5, 2 on alewives and 3 jigging. 4 fish in the 8-9 pound range and one around 11. The wind is really kicking here today, but its in the upper 50's so not too bad. I feel for you guys in the cold weather.

Good trip. If it blew there like it did here today, don't know how you managed to stay on the water. ;D I'm supposed to hit Claytor in another week or so if I can ever get over this damn cold.

That cold is going around. Seems like everybody's got the cold or the flu. Good luck at Claytor.

what you targeting - I hear there is walleye there - I hope to go to Smith Mtn week after next but looking for crappie

Gonna be chasing the line sides around. Met a guy a week or so ago that lives there so I'm taking the invite. Never been on that lake before so, we'll see.
