Went to the AC baot show today and scored some great stuff at a better price.

Anyway, I found a section that was selling Carolina Skiffs amidst million dollar yachts >:D

This guy working that section with a heavy southern darw, said, boy that Carolina Skiff hat looks like it has a lot of miles on it ;D Want a new one? I said sure.

He comes back and we get to talking , I asked if he works for the dealer that has the display set up. He said no, he was a CS factory rep, Sales Manager, " Terry Carter" 8) I go on to tell him, I had the 198 DLV sold it to get the 238 DLV, yada, yada. He said that he usually doesn't work boat shows but since this particual dealer has only offered the CS lineup for a month, CS flew him up here to answer any questions customers might have.
Then I lay on him I have a special interest in the Carolina Skiff display because, I run the #1 rated CS info message board on the net and if you google up CS only one site comes in before ours and thats the offical CS site. He got excited and said he heard about us.... 011

We talked about the boats some more and I got a call and had to leave. Did I mention I was suppoed to be working ?? ;D ;D

Anyway after my call I shot home, got him a business card and a handful of our new cool stickers.

I told him to make sure he at least gets one to our friend Tamy Snow, She's helped answer a lot of my questions.

He also introduced me to the owner of the dealership Tom Jarvis of " Jarvis Marine" located in Tuckerton NJ. I gave him a card and sticker and told him to check us out and to see if he wants a banner.

Oh I also asked Terry if they give tours of the CS plant and he said no their Insurance co only allows dealers to take the tour, but If I let him know when I'm coming I surely could get the tour ... Thought that was kinda neat.

Anyway, nice meeting those guys and maybe we'll see'em here.

PS,
Those boat shows are a GREAT place to pass out CSO cards !!!!!

::) ;D ;D ;D ::)
Harry,
I went to the Eastern Sport & Outddor show today in Harrisburg. I stop at the booth for the Montauk L.I. Viking Fleet since Nothing Else Matters is planning a trip with them. I told the Viking rep That I belong to this forum and how one of it's members was planning a trip with them and now I was interested in their $ 90 day trip for Block Island cod. Cabin Fever and all that. He asked for the e-mail address So out came the CS card. He was impressed; he said he would check us out.....

Nothing Else Matters.....I like those trips they have set up... What about that 2 day wreck trip for Tile fish? You are on the boat 50 hours leave 7:30p Fri. back Sun.10pm.
I wonder what size cooler I should bring. maybe the 2000 quart cooler.
A friend of mine who lives in Freeport L.I. took this trio a few years back and he came home with 325 lbs of cod. He kept 50 lbs and sold the rest for a buck a pound at the fish house on Montauk lake.

I saw your other post on that ,,, That stinks >:(

Anyway here's the link to the CS dealer at the AC show. Maybe if you contact them, you could tell them you were at the show and see if the show prices still apply ... 006

TooTall,
Got your PM on this, Thanks again fopr passing out those cards .... 010

Passing out cards at outdoor and boat show is a great way to spread the word about our little site.

Definitley near the CS booth itself, what a better place to capture some potential members interested in a CS or Chaser ? It's like fishing in a chum slick, just drop the bait, your bound to catch something .... ;D

We must be using the same type template. I got my butt kicked trying to print them. Loki made them up and I still couldn't get them how I wanted them. Ask him.

Oh boy, here we go again! ;D

I can't be sure why you guys are having problems. I made them using a standard Microsoft Word business card template. I just imported the graphic on them and printed them out. It should work fine fo everone, unless your printer or document software automatically is set up to use a different template?

Does this make sense to anyone?

Mike

I will try again. On your template are only two cards across and on the avery card paper is three, that is why i said is not working for me, i didn't try printing them.
