Hello folks,
I would like to see how you have mounted the batteries for the TM under the front deck. Could a couple of you folks please post some photos? I am not looking for electrical help, just to see what would be the best (IMHO) mounting. I read something on here of someone using a couple of superballs to cushion the batteries.
Give it to me in detail too. The verticle part of my front deck "wiggles" as I increase speed, and it rubbed on the battery boxes 001 004 004, so I am changing the mount anyway 004 004.
What ya'll got?

What about if you cut an opening on top of the deck in the front part and install the batteries there with a regular battery mount that all boat factories use, then cover the opening with a watertight hatch.Make sure though, where you make that opening you have enough height to clear batteries, cables, fuses etc.

I can get it all in &out of the hatches, I'd kinda like to see other ways of mounting them. Didn't really want to cut holes in....

Keep in mind, the further forward you move the more movement (the harder the ride).

Hello Willie!!
Showed it to the wife, and it would impede her fishing . We had them mounted inside the front, I guess I will just shift the whole thing foward more.
Was hoping for a few more pics posted on this subject, 008 008 018 018

Reggie, don't know where she get's that idea as at times I've got four LARGE guys fishing at the same time and it's never in the way and makes getting up on the deck real easy. 006
Anywho, good luck which ever way you go.

her real reason:
she sunbathes in the front of it sometimes and has a queen sized airmatress that just fits that area, she's 6'1", and says she needs no step as well (kinda long legs). And I think I'd ruther not remove the air mattress....even though the count of the fish caught would no doubt improve...
plus I am 5'6" so she has a reach advantage 021 .
I will take a pic of the batteries and where they were mounted, 2 batteries are already mounted in the back. It did ride a bit hard with them up front. Anybody else run a 24 volt tm bow mount from batteries in the back?
HELP

Sorry I'm late with this but that box is real handy getting up and down from the deck. Makes working with the batteries a brease too. I just kind of "throwed" it together with some scrap lumber I had laying around. I'm sure with the right tools and know how, you could make one that looks a lot nicer but, this one works for me. ;D

This is how my batteries are mounted in my 1765DLX.

The dealer split the old style tracking for the battery cables and ran it along the edge.

and this is where my battery selector is mounted.

Screwed down the battery trays with 1" #10 Stainless screws. Mounted in-between front hatches strapped to then battery trays. The batteries are one infront of the other 1" from the front hatch bulkhead.

The ride is no diffrent than a having a cooler full of drinks in front, smooth. Just need to mover the cooler to the stern now. Hope this helps.
