How long are your trailer bunks?

I have a J16 and are wondering how long they should be. So how long are your trailer bunks?

Mine are 6' and I think they are too short.*006*

Mine are 8 ft. They stick out the back about 1-1 1/2" past the transom. I do not have a cross bunk in the front but use the 3 ft goal post style bow stop. -Lee
