I'm thinking about a 19 or 21-foot DLX (or possibly a DLV) but storage is an issue. I have to be able to fit the trailer between two pilings exactly 9-feet apart. Could any of you give me the maximum width from fender edge to edge? (I know it can't be more than 8'6", but I'm wondering what I'll have to work with.) Also, the make of the trailer would be very helpful.

Thanks very much.

I don't have the numbers for you but I think my DLV is wider than my EZ Loader trailer. I know it's a pain to climb into the boat from the fender because the fender is under the gunnel rail and I have to lean back while i climb in.

Venture makes them 86" or 102" wide http://www.venturetrailers.com/

Hey, just saw your post, Shakespeare. Definitely take your time on the measurement & stay dry. I'm gonna be researching a while. Hope you got that 6 pack.

Thanks for the offer.

Oooops! 004 Oh man, I'm sorry. I completely forgot to measure it when I got home yesterday. I now have string tied around my finger and will get 'r done this afternoon. My apologies. Stay tuned for my info later this PM.

The frame width of my Road King trailer for my DLV238 (all DLV's are same beam) is 80 inches plus 10 inches additional on each side for the wheels and fenders making a total width of about 100 inches.

That would allow about 4 inches on each side between the pilings. :'( Guess it's a good thing I can't afford the 238.

Thanks.

It's even worse on the Wesco dual axle trailer... real close to 103" outside of wheel wells. 006

I finally got my measurements. The boat (198 DLV) is 96" from gunwale to gunwale and the trailer is 92" from fender outside edge to fender outside edge. I thought the boat was wider than the trailer. It makes getting in the boat on land FUN. The trailer is an EZ loader model 7-EZL90B 17-19 2350.

That's good to know, guys. Sounds like most of these will work--but some clearly won't. Before I drive any distance to look at a CS, I'll get the owner to give me a good measurement.

Really appreciate all the good help.
