Has anyone ever made the wood that flips up and down for the bow stationary? The reason I ask if because on ramps that have slower angles I'm having to back the wheels of my Cherokee into the water to get the bow to ride up far enough where the wood will flip up.

Thanks in advance.

best thing you can do is re do that design. I replaced my bow stop with some 6-8" rollers and I can get it on and off easy without ever getting my feet wet much less my truck. *Cheers*

Here is what my old trailer looked like when I had changed out my wood peice bow stop for the rollers. It made loading and unloading cake. *Cheers*

Did you notice if this put extra stress on the bow eye without having the support of the wood under the bow? I already have spider cracks.

I could release the winch and it was sit right where it was in the picture. It was being held by the rollers just fine.

The bow stops are a common conundrum for skiffs and like exceed many here have generated solutions. Here's my version of a CSOer's solution I found here. A search should reveal others that you can use to create one your happy with.

This is the setup that the dealer put on my trailer. It appears to be like Exceed's. I have had no problems with this setup and like exceed said it is a piece of cake to load or unload.
