I haven't fished locally since mid July. Gave it a try this morning and it's still hot and crowded on the water.;D I can't wait till September *008*
Had a light Northeast breeze at first light and I was hoping it would stir up some feeding activity. Tried for some trout first thing but they must of had other plans. rotflmao
Moved into some skinny water marshes looking for Redfish. The first two reds were all of 16" but at least I caught something. The next fish I saw tailing in the grass, tossed a skitterwalk just outside his turf and he came out to eat it. 27 and 1/16", I'm glad I wasn't fishing in a tournament or I would be cursing this idea of catching the biggest little fish.*clonk*
I entered a little dead end dreen rounded the first bend and cast on top of a school of around a dozen that scattered further up the creek. hmmmm. Stuck the anchor pin and waited a few minutes. Cast to the same spot and hooked a purty bronze 30".

Sat back had a cup of coffee, made a business call, cast back to the spot and this guy inhaled it

I'm glad he was in the slot 'cause I couldn't get my skitterwalk out till he was filleted.*laughing* Decided to leave the rest alone and headed back to the waterway. Stopped at a trout hole on the way and caught a couple of little trout. Did I mention they were little ?

May try it again tomorrow and see if I can find a flounder or two.
